Central Air could be called an airborne trucking company. It may not have the prestige of “concierge air transport,” but it’s true for what we do. We take air freight in Kansas City or any of our other locations and deliver it to the required destination quickly and accurately.
There’s no such thing as “lost in transit” with us. Where your shipment goes, we go too.

1974 was the year. Richard Nixon boogied out of office, a gallon of milk was $1.37, and John Towner founded a company that transported important bank checks across the country via airplane.
50 years later, his son Andrew and daughter Amy carry on the family business. Their fleet of planes has delivered premier movie reels, emergency medical equipment, critical factory repair components—and even human hearts—quickly to their destinations. Plus, they have planes and a jet that can be chartered for private transport.

Meet the Fleet
Central Air uses 30 Twin Commander airplanes to ship up to 1,200 pounds of cargo at 200 miles per hour. Our Learjet can carry up to 500 pounds at 500 miles per hour.
We offer two different planes for private passenger flights. First are passenger-configured Twin Commander 500 B’s, and we also have a Learjet 35A. All we ask is 2 days’ notice for a passenger flight so that we can configure the crew and flight plans. If it’s an absolute emergency, let us know and we will do our very best to find a solution that works for you.
